Rishikesh is home to one of the highest fixed-platform bungee jumps anywhere, set on a purpose-built platform overlooking a river gorge near Mohanchatti, about 26 km from Rishikesh town.
How high, and what makes it different
The platform sits at around 83 metres above the gorge below. Unlike a crane or bridge bungee, this is a fixed platform built specifically for the activity, which allows for a more controlled, consistently inspected setup.
Safety systems
Jumps use internationally certified equipment and cords, with every jumper given a full safety briefing, harness check and weighing beforehand to match the cord to their weight. Trained staff manage the platform and the jump itself.
Who can jump
Operators set minimum age and weight-range requirements for safety reasons — typically a minimum age in the early teens and a defined weight bracket. These requirements are set by the operator and checked on the day, so it’s worth confirming with us before booking if you have a specific concern.
What to expect on the day
Expect a half-day activity once travel and the safety process are factored in: registration and weighing, a safety briefing, the climb up to the platform, and the jump itself, which lasts only a few seconds but is preceded by a build-up most jumpers remember vividly.
