Rishikesh in 3 Days

The unhurried version of a Rishikesh trip — ghats and ashrams, a full adventure day, and a yoga or wellness morning to close it out.

Three days is enough to slow down in Rishikesh rather than tick through it — one day for the town itself, one for an adventure activity, and one for something restorative or a short trip to Haridwar.

Day 1: Ghats, ashrams and the evening Aarti

Follow the same core as our 1-day itinerary — Triveni Ghat, Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, the Beatles Ashram, and the evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat or Parmarth Niketan. With three days ahead of you, there’s no need to rush this one.

Day 2: A full adventure day

Dedicate the day to one substantial activity — river rafting on a longer stretch (Shivpuri to Rishikesh or beyond), a half-day trek to a viewpoint like Kunjapuri, or a combination of kayaking and camping by the river if you want to stay overnight by the Ganga.

Day 3: Yoga, wellness, or Haridwar

Close the trip at a slower pace. A morning yoga or meditation session — or a longer wellness experience if you want it — suits travellers who came to Rishikesh for that reason specifically. Alternatively, take a half-day trip to Haridwar (about 25 km, 40-45 minutes) for Har Ki Pauri and its own evening Aarti — see our Rishikesh vs Haridwar guide for how the two compare.

Getting around

Day one is largely walkable; days two and three both benefit from a local taxi for transfers to activity sites or Haridwar. We run all of this as a single multi-day booking if you’d rather not coordinate transport separately for each day.
