- One-way or round trip
The drive between Rishikesh and Delhi is one of the most frequently booked outstation routes in the region — a straightforward highway run that works equally well as a standalone trip or the first/last leg of a longer Uttarakhand journey.
Distance and drive time
The two cities are roughly 230-240 km apart, typically a 5.5-6.5 hour drive depending on traffic — heaviest through the Meerut and outer Delhi stretches, lightest on the open highway sections in between.
The route
Most vehicles take NH334 and NH58, running via Haridwar, Roorkee and Muzaffarnagar/Meerut before entering Delhi — the most direct and best-maintained option, and the one we default to unless road conditions suggest otherwise.
Where to stop
Roorkee and Muzaffarnagar both have reliable highway dhabas and fuel stops roughly midway, useful for a meal break or a stretch on longer journeys. Most drivers plan one stop on this route rather than none, particularly for early-morning or late-evening departures.
One-way or round trip
This route is commonly booked one-way — for airport drops, or travellers ending a Char Dham or Rishikesh trip and heading back to Delhi — as well as round trip for shorter visits. Tell us your travel dates and pickup point and we’ll quote either.
