Four routes, from first-timer to full-day

Every route ends in Rishikesh — the put-in point sets the distance, the rapid grade, and how long you’re on the water.

Distances are approximate and vary slightly with the season's water level.
Brahmapuri → Rishikesh≈1.5–2 hrs
Rapid gradeII

Gentle, family-friendly float — the easiest run and a good first raft.

Shivpuri → Rishikesh≈2.5–3 hrs
Rapid gradeIII

The classic full run — most of the named rapids, most popular with groups.

Marine Drive → Rishikesh≈3.5–4 hrs
Rapid gradeIII

Everything in the Shivpuri run plus extra distance and rapids upstream.

Kaudiyala → RishikeshFull day
Rapid gradeIV

The longest, most demanding run — best water levels, for confident rafters.

Oct–Nov & Mar–Jun — peak water levels, the most exciting rapids of the year.

Sep & Dec–Feb — still open, calmer water, cooler mornings in winter.

Jul–mid Sep — closed by district authorities for the monsoon, every year.
